Are you a pickleball player who has pain when raising your arms overhead?
Maybe it’s your shoulder.
Maybe it’s your neck.
Maybe you’ve just noticed that one arm doesn’t move like it used to.
That was Nan.
A few months ago, Nan had been diagnosed with frozen shoulder.
She spent months in physical therapy and was eventually discharged, but she still had difficulty getting her arm overhead and continued dealing with shoulder pain.
In less than 90 days of working together, she has made a big improvement in both her pain and overhead range of motion.
And we didn’t do anything crazy.
One of the simple drills we’ve used consistently is:
👉 Supine overhead shoulder flexion with a cane
Lie on your back, hold a cane or stick with both hands, and slowly guide your arms overhead within a comfortable range.
It’s simple.
But simple exercises done consistently can be incredibly effective.
Of course, improving shoulder function usually requires more than one stretch.
With Nan, we’ve also worked on mobility, strength, shoulder control, posture, and building strength through the range of motion she’s gaining.
That’s also why we include daily mobility and flexibility work inside Prehab 365.
And if you want more simple exercises, mobility routines, client examples, and tips to help you move better on and off the pickleball court, I want you to join our free group:
