MEET COACH GARRETT
01 — WHERE IT STARTED
Movement became personal before it became my career.
During my senior year of high school, my aunt Elizabeth suffered a stroke that left her paralyzed. Each week, I helped take her to physical therapy and watched her therapists work with her to regain abilities most of us take for granted.
Seeing how much they cared about her progress stuck with me.
That was when I knew I wanted a career helping people move better.
02 — LEARNING THE CRAFT
From college athletics to training elite athletes.
I went to Marymount University to study Exercise Science while continuing my own athletic career as a college lacrosse player. I eventually became a team captain and helped lead our team to its best record in 20 years.
After graduating, I moved to Tampa, where I had the opportunity to gain experience working with MLB, NFL and collegiate athletes.
It taught me an important lesson: great training isn’t just about working harder.
It’s about preparing your body to perform and stay resilient.
03 — DISCOVERING THE GAP
What happens after physical therapy ends?
When I returned home to Virginia, I spent two years working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic at OrthoVirginia.
I watched people make incredible progress. They’d reduce their pain, regain function and get back to their lives.
But I kept noticing the same problem.
They finished physical therapy…and didn’t know what to do next.
They wanted to exercise. They wanted to become stronger. They didn’t want to end up right back in pain.
There was a gap between physical therapy and traditional personal training.
I created Prehab to help bridge that gap.
04 — WHY I DO IT TODAY
I want to keep playing, too.
This mission became even more personal because I’ve dealt with years of back, shoulder and hip pain myself—and at one point was recommended surgery.
My search for another approach led me deeper into breathing, alignment, mobility and strength and helped shape the Prehab Method I use today.
But my reason for staying healthy has changed.
I’m a husband to Victoria and dad to Nora. I want to run, lift, play pickleball, golf, travel, chase my daughter around and keep doing those things for decades.
That’s ultimately what I want for every Prehab member.
Not just more workouts. More years doing what you love.
OUR GOAL
Keep you doing what you love.
Our goal is simple: help you move better, get stronger, and stay active for years to come. Whether that’s playing pickleball, running, golfing, traveling, working out, or keeping up with your family, Prehab is designed to help your body stay ready for the life you want to live.
OUR MISSION
Bridge the gap between rehab and fitness.
Too many people finish physical therapy only to wonder, “What do I do now?” Our mission is to bridge that gap with simple, progressive training that combines mobility, strength, balance, and recovery—so you can build a more resilient body instead of constantly starting over when something hurts.
